I have finished reading my book . I would
like to analyze the character of Stanley. I hope you like it.
Character Analysis – Stanley Yelnats
Stanley (later called as Caveman) is the
overweight and physically weak protagonist of the book who dramatically changes
through the story. Before he came to Camp Green Lake he had no friends and was
unable to communicate with any of his peers. He accepted his bad luck and his
miserable life as it is and did nothing to change it. Although he lives a bad life he
could see the positive sites of life as an optimist person. He was quite coward and couldn’t object to the
bully boy , Derrick Dunne, because he lacked self-confidence. However , he dramatically changes in the camp and solves almost all of his problems.
By the time he transforms into a different person. Basically his personality
gets mature Probably not due to digging holes but maybe due to living away from
his parents in harsh conditions. He is
not a coward anymore. He is really courageous and helpful in the end as we see
that he escapes from the camp to look for his new best friend Zero and save him.
From this behavior we can also understand that he is self-confident ; he learned how to build a friednship and be good friend . All in all
, he has transformed from a looser into a hero founding a treasure and breaking
the so-called curse of his family.
This is my letter for Stanley
Hi Stanley,
I’m happy that you are more mature now. You
have made an important progress . You have always been a nice person with your
polite , helpful and calm attitude towards people. You can make now friends
easier. Take care of your life in the future and don’t spoil your life. Be
careful of not wasting your money that you earned with a heavy heart. Good luck be with you! See you !

Nice character analysis. I liked the way you tell changes about Stanley during these events. That's a pretty good idea to write a letter Stanley.
